ROOF REPLACEMENT UPDATE

WEEK 2 UPDATE

Following a number of telephone calls the contractor finally received the order from HBC on Thursday morning. A further call to the contractor established a start date for the roof replacement as Wednesday 9th October.

The support this week has once again been exceptional and our thanks go to one and all. Not sure how many of you did the maths on the hours invested last week. I was working on a 40-hour week/person. We actually achieved 150 hours, albeit it did feel like 1500 as so much was achieved.

With the exception of the removal of the canopy 99% of what was programmed for this week was completed by Thursday lunchtime and we declared Friday a day of rest. The number of tip runs has been exceptional, Tony and John now have honorary membership of the waste recycling facilities.

The programme for week 3 is to remove and dispose of the canopy, 2 non wet days would be ideal, currently mid-week onwards looks good for a start.

Once cleared we have 2 spare days week 4 Monday 7th and Tuesday 8th October for a final check through to make sure we are ready on the 8th for the big roof lift off.
