COOP Local Charity Fund support

You may recall that we applied for funding from the Coop Local Charity fund to replace the roofing over the outside workspace and recreation area. In the February newsletter I reported that to date we had £38:19 which although slowly growing, I was worried that perhaps we wouldn’t reach our requested target. I am pleased to say that I received notice that we had raised £1023:00 Paul and I attended the ‘big cheque’ presentation 16th November. So now we have funds to go ahead with the replacement roofing and some funds to keep for a future Shed enhancement. We are now in a position to order the materials for delivery in December. Please look out for emails requesting volunteers to assist with the dismantling and assembly some time in the future. We are extremely grateful to Coop for their support and Local Charity funding. Steve and Lee (Coop area managers) have a standing invite to join us for a cup of tea and a biscuit whenever they are in the neighbourhood.
