4. The Fareham & District Society of Model Engineers have invited Bishop’s Waltham and Waterlooville Men’s Shed to visit their site on 24th September from 1300. Miniature trains and boats will be on display. The site is located Segensworth Road Titchfield PO15 5DZ. For you spotters out there, what is the class and name of the model warship? Answers on a postcard.

5. You may have noticed the next phase of the Shed’s rejuvenation is well on its way with the installation of the front fencing. Good effort by all those who assisted in the erection (no ribald comments please!) This will give members further exterior space to work on the larger projects that are taken on.

6. On Wednesday 20th August four WMS members, John Bowden, Paul Turner, Peter Katis and Dave Allport spent the day at Denmead Infants School helping with preserving the play area fences. We were well supplied with coffee and donuts during the day and completed most of the fences. It was tiring but very productive day. Thank you to the preserving team for mucking in. Gill the Head said she will be in touch with WMS later
