6. Our good friend of WMS, Jacqui Benham from ASDA, at the moment has another initiative running. A project to improve our youngsters reading ability. So if you have any children’s books that maybe your grandchildren have grown out of perhaps you could consider popping them into the box at the entrance to ASDA so another youngster can experience the of joy reading. It would certainly help to raise the reading standard of many local children. As a former volunteer of Pompey Pirates, a children’s reading hub, I can vouch that there are many children out there who don’t have access to any reading material for various reasons.
